MOMA

Went to the MOMA yesterday afternoon as a little field trip. . Of course I always pick the absolutely worst weather days to go. There was a full blown blizzard ALL day.. I think the last time I tried to go it was freezing rain. . It was pretty amazing to see how many movies he had a hand in, as well as learning that his upbringing was NOT a dark one! Here's a few collateral images I scanned from the show, as well as the really cool entrance into the exhibit.

A few months ago I went to my sister's elementary school class, and got to see all the cool stuff her and her kids get to do. I wish I were back in School making cider and pies!

Yeasayer

Last night I took Ian to see Yeasayer at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, and it turned out to be one of the best performances I have ever seen! I've probably listened to Ambling Alp saaaay 50 times. I think most of their shows are sold out, but seriously, meeting that creepy guy in Times Square for 150.00 tickets is so worth it.

I just watched this Vimeo vid of Tavi rapping about Rei Kawakubo, which honestly is the best thing I've seen this week. If you don't know who Tavi is, she is a 13 year old fashion blogger, who has an superhero-esque vision for style. At first her blog was thought to be a fictitious site created by adults, but as it turned out, she started writing it when she was only 11. Since then she has been all over the world, being the guest of honor at various couture shows. Her favorite designer of all time is Rei Kawakubo, who she raps about below.
